Jira Time-Blocking Calendar

My backlog and my calendar lived in separate worlds. I planned my week in my head — and watched it fall apart by Tuesday. So I built a Claude-powered workflow that bridges them: pull your Jira tasks, read your calendar, time-block your week, export to Outlook.

The Problem

Every Monday I had the same 20-minute planning problem.

I'd open Jira. I'd open Outlook. I'd try to hold both in my head at once and figure out what could actually get done this week. Half the tasks would slip because I never actually put them on the calendar. The other half would get bumped by meetings I forgot to account for.

The fix wasn't a better to-do app. It was closing the gap between "what needs to happen" and "when it's actually happening."

How It Works

Screenshot your calendar. Claude does the rest.

01
Upload your Outlook calendar screenshot
Claude reads your existing meetings — times, titles, durations — and extracts the week's dates. No manual entry.
02
Claude fetches your Jira backlog
Via the Atlassian MCP integration, Claude pulls all your open, assigned tasks — sorted by due date, with priorities intact. Photo of a paper to-do list? That works too.
03
Drag tasks onto your week
An interactive calendar appears with your meetings already blocked. Drag Jira tasks into time slots, set durations (30 min to 4 hrs), toggle Free/Busy, add notes.
04
Export as ICS, import into Outlook
One click generates a .ics file. Double-click to import into Outlook. Every task block appears with the Jira link, notes, and Free/Busy status built in.
What It Does

A drag-and-drop week planner powered by your real data.

Reads your calendar automatically
Upload a screenshot — Claude extracts meetings, dates, and today's date without any manual input.
Live Jira integration
Pulls your actual open tasks via Atlassian MCP — not a copy-paste, your real backlog in real time.
Drag-and-drop time blocking
Place tasks into 30-minute slots, resize durations, move them around until the week makes sense.
ICS export to Outlook
Export all blocks as a single .ics file. Imports into Outlook with Jira links, notes, and Free/Busy status intact.
Block-level notes
Double-click any time block to add prep notes — they travel with the event into Outlook.
Photo to-do list support
Take a photo of a paper list or sticky note — Claude reads the handwriting and adds those tasks alongside Jira items.
How to Use It
